A small event at the beginning of the campaign season. As we had only veterans amongst us, we could reduce drill to the necessary, and enjoy the soldier's live in other ways. Grenadiers Pas Perdu and Bras de Fer celebrated their 5th anniversary, caporal Rôtisseur and grenadier Champagne their 10th anniversary of service in the ranks of the 22e demi-brigade de ligne.
Sergent Sans-Souci and grenadiers Doigt de Fer and Bras de Fer followed in the footsteps of the 22e demi-brigade de ligne, which in 1800 crossed the Alps at the Grand-Saint-Bernard as part of the Armée de Réserve, led by the First Consul.

In order to form a strong peloton, we amalgamated with men of the 6e, 7e and 19e de ligne. We took the chance to practice the feu de peloton in three ranks, once again. The photograph to the right has been made by Jonas Radtke. |
