After spending the night in a beautiful bivouac, the next day we marched from the Château de Houtain le Mont (south-east of Quatre Bras) to the Maison du Caillou.

Our batallion carried the Eagle of the 22e, with its flag of the 1804 model. This was our way to express our protest against the suppression of infantry units wearing hats during this event. The food which was delivered to us, lacked meat. How could we possibly win a battle without meat ? |

We joined the bataillon uni, commanded by chef de bataillon Salvetat, to help the former First Consul to win a battle. We took advantage of the chance to have a bivoauc near the inn Stará Pošta and enjoy an experience close to the one of the French soldiers before the battle in 1805.
